Holistic Physical Therapy

Specializing in Pelvic Floor, Pregnancy & Postpartum

Pregnancy & postpartum is a time of enormous change for our bodies. Hormones fluctuate causing emotional roller coaster rides and ligamentous laxity. The baby grows and grows and grows and then birth - almost suddenly, there’s no uterus to hold up your spine, and you’re left with a misaligned posture, softened abdominals and an injured pelvic floor.

Society tells us to laugh off complaints of lower back pain, leaking urine, hemorrhoids, and pain with sex - “it’s normal.” The changes, the aches, the pains, and the body oddities are common, but these are not OK. These symptoms signal dysfunction and we should not settle for living with dysfunction.

Our goal at Bud & Bloom Physical Therapy is to teach you how to move in your own body. You will learn what specific muscle, nerve, and joint dysfunctions are happening within your body. With a holistic treatment approach to health, you will learn safe exercises to change the root cause of dysfunction and how to change daily habits that may be contributing to your problem. You will also receive hands-on manual therapy to expedite the rehabilitation process.

Moms should not feel helpless when it comes to learning about their changing body and how to regain strength. Take time to seek the guidance of a physical therapist to become the best version of yourself.
